Describe the bug
I only set FxSound to the 'Gaming' preset. If I restart my computer, it will often get set to a random other preset, like 'Voice' or 'Transcription'.

To Reproduce
Have not found a consistent repro method yet.

Expected behavior
Staying on the preset that I set it at.

Good evening Adam,

Which version of FxSound are you running?
Your version number is shown in the Help tab of the Settings menu.
I'd recommend downloading and installing the latest official version, v1.1.22.0, from fxsound.com, if you haven't done so yet.

If you're already on v1.1.22.0, try the soft reset for the FxSound Speakers device (found in Sound Settings) first, outlined under bullet point 8 of the troubleshooting list:
https://forum.fxsound.com/t/troubleshooting/3105

Secondly: there is a method to eliminate any and all unwanted Presets; however, I cannot officially recommend it to you, you will need to follow the instructions to the letter, and, you will be applying the trick at your own risk, since its full consequences are still, as yet, unknown...
But, it is a very effective, and, all in all, relatively harmless method, and could be extremely helpful in your case, if you really only use one Preset all the time, and wish to keep it unchanged.
Just make sure to Export and save all unnecessary, to-be-eliminated Presets away onto one or multiple other safe locations, on your hard drive, or an external drive, first; that way, you should be able to restore them anytime using the inverse Import function.

So first off, this is a link to the instructions on how to Import and Export your Presets:
https://www.fxsound.com/learning-center/importing-and-exporting-presets

It's important to note that you can move the Presets from both of FxSound's Preset-containing folders any way you like - at your own risk, as I mentioned! Those folders are:

C: \ [your username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ FxSound \ Presets
for the custom and Bonus Presets (a hidden folder); and
C: \ Program Files \ FxSound LLC \ FxSound \ Factsoft
for the factory-loaded Presets.

This is a link to my personal elaboration on the trick:

Let me know if this was helpful - or not.
