could not reproduce on Big Sur + light theme but please try v1.5 for a potential try (changed gradient fill to solid color filling on path). let me know if it doesn't help.

v1.5 on Big Sur 11.1 (20C69) is still flashing for me, at least in dark mode (auto-set after sunset).

I'm also having this issue on 1.5 with Big Sur 11.2 Beta. It flashes much more quickly in light mode and when toggling to Dark Mode I can slow it down to be less distracting.

Of note, I'm using an eGPU now and wasn't previously when I didn't have this issue. I wonder if that's a commonality?

thanks for detailed feedback, not sure if it's an issue related to eGPU. I have 2 MacBooks running Big Sur (15' and 13') but cannot re-produce.
the good news is a friend of mine reported this issue as well and i will contact him to debug this soon
