Also, I think that I've heard that SNES models which use a 50Hz display refresh rate (rather than 60Hz) are resulting in respectively slower SGB/gameboy timings ???

I think this is true, do we have detailed info/sources?

The NTSC SGB1 is approximately 0.92% faster than the PAL SGB1 (Not 20% like the frame rates ratio). However, it still outputs ~60.61 FPS video via a 50 FPS signal, so you get a lot of frame drops.
