Go now supports AIX. We should probably add a port. Most likely we can borrow the support from either Linux or Solaris, possibly with small adjustments.

User(s) with this platform willing to help test would be welcome.

I expect that this is simpler now that we have gotten rid of the bulk of the stuff for baud rates. Still, looking for help to test -- or possibly remote access to an AIX system so I can set it up.

I can almost certainly implement this trivially, but I have no AIX system to test against. Help?

I believe this should be resolved now with the integration of the fix for #394. Additionally zos and other UNIX like platforms should work. Please open issues if any problems are found.
