Just a personal note that I don't really like this feature idea. It feels like an avenue for spamming. If we did want to implement it, we may want to add additional constrains for a Mew to appear on the #HomePage list.

Also, it seems only relevant if a user is completely new to the platform. Otherwise, why not just redirect them to their MewsFeed on login?

For example:

  • Includes #HomePage tag
  • Has > 200 licks
  • Author has a Nom username

Additional ideas from our discussion:

Display pseudo-randomly selected recent Mews and agents. For example:

  • 10 random mews at least 1 lick from the past week.
  • 10 random mews created today

Risk of Home Page Pollution
For now it could be unfiltered, which leaves it open to display spam, hateful, NSFW content on the home page. This would be a bad user experience! Limiting who we advertise mewsfeed to early on to trusted communities, we could create a "soft" content filter.

Another option to avoid this risk is to only display "trusted" agents on the home page. In the same way that twitter recommends large establishment boring accounts to follow like "the president", "the new york times", etc.
