It would be cool if a timer could be set after which the current piece would stop playing and the next piece would start playing. I would probably set it to 60 minutes at a time, so that I would slowly cycle through pieces while I work.

I've suggested this before on Patreon but didn't get much of a reaction -- glad to see someone else would find it useful!

Do you think it need a way to let you choose which pieces where included in the cycle, like some sort of playlist? Or would it work for you to just include everything in the current selection? e.g., cycling through a single tag or your favorites.

I think a great first stab at it would just be to cycle through all pieces in order, just because that's probably the simplest and most general version of the feature. ("in order" could be the current sort order, or any fixed order, like by release date)

Further iterations could then include:

  • toggle for random order
  • toggle for favorites only
  • tag checkboxes to include or exclude a tag
