Document sourcemaps debugging modal

since sentry-cli sourcemaps explain is now deprecated, I wanted to ask for some help on how to debug sourcemaps issues without this command now.

Any help would be appreciated, so we can add better docs for debugging.

Hi @derN3rd, sourcemaps debugging is now available directly in Sentry. You can find this information by opening an event that is missing sourcemap information.

For self-host, is there a specific version that shows the in-app sourcemaps debugging modal? we don't get that at all on our version, so documenting alone isn't sufficient to help us diagnose, unfortunately.

It looks like the in app modal for sourcemaps was added september of last year. That would mean that this is available for self-hosted users 23.9.0+. What version are you on?

This issue has gone three weeks without activity. In another week, I will close it.

But! If you comment or otherwise update it, I will reset the clock, and if you remove the label Waiting for: Community, I will leave it alone ... forever!
