Before I found your excellent project, I had developed some simple scripts
to send gconf commands to compiz annotate, allowing me to connect a second
wii remote (via xwii) to change the available (limited) annotation options.
This worked quite well, and it was rather fun to clear the screen by
shaking the remote!
Your project is far superior to what I had set up, but it would still be
nice to be able to use a remote for basic functions, which would require
some sort of command interface to ardesia.
Thanks for sharing your work!

I think that in the future we can think to create a library to draw to the
screen
and the ardesia will be one of the possible controller.
You'll can use a call to erase all the annotation when you shake the wiimote.
I want underlie that the ardesia interface has been developed having in mind
devices as
tablet and whitebord (commercial or wiimote) and the touch screen
