Description

Add a spirits/ghosts particle effect: Translucent incorporeal spirits moving around.

Good suggestions, but regarding 1., there is already #41. it makes more sense to keep different effects in different issues, so I’ll move your description for the fireflies to that issue.

As with most particle effects, the main issue is finding suitable assets (sprites), that have a permissive license. If you know of any suitable assets, please let me know. It greatly increases the chance of this being added.
