5 GHz doesn't work for me. #2
Comments
Interesting, it always seems to work for me no matter what machine I'm on. What kernel are you compiling against? Also, what device (not that it should matter)? I ask because initially I was compiling on -ck patchset and 5 ghz wasn't working, however vanilla kernel everything is great (3.16.2). |

I am on Fedora 21 Workstation x86_64 and 5Ghz does not work for me. As in, I can see my 5Ghz network, but connection fails. |
[ 683.161733] RTL871X: rtw_wx_set_mlme, cmd=0, reason=3 some output from dmesg |
I am using Alfa's AWUS036AC http://www.alfa.com.tw/products_show.php?pc=134&ps=208 on a usb 3.0 port using a docking cradle |
Using an ASUS AC56 Wireless Adapter, 5Ghz worked |
Actually now 5Ghz is not working again on either -___- definitely not my router, literally every device that I have that runs at 5Ghz is working fine. It works occasionally on my ASUS AC56 I guess. |
Great, working again. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it working or not. https://mega.co.nz/#!rVUiAYiJ!6vpJra9s8LnexQ92i5NF0YsgCKPM4C4-Z195f46btMk |

This patch is derived from http://wikidevi.com/files/Drivers/Realtek/rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux_v4.2.2_7502.20130517_addl_IDs_added.tar.bz2
However, 5 GHz mode doesn't work for me. Any ideas?
