Index view not persisted in sidebar after a search

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Switch sidebar to index view (btw. it took me a moment or two to figure
out how to switch to index view, and that's only because I read in release
notes that it is there. I think this should be more obvious somehow ;-) )
2. Enter some text in search field
3. Clear the search field


What is the expected output?

Sidebar switches back to index view.


What do you see instead?

Sidebar shows contents while Index view is still selected in pop-up menu on
the bottom.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

iChm 1.2 on Leopard.
