Any news about this? Also, are there minimum requirements for the publishing? If so, where can I find them?

I'm sure that there are a lot of great OFL fonts out there in the world that aren't yet in Google Fonts. I'm not sure what their decision making prioritization processes are that have to happen before new ones are added to their CDN.

Hi. These aren't the font source files (FontLab sources, Glyphs sources, UFO files, etc.), but the final binary font files.

Look at the Unified-Font-Repository for an example of a well-constructed font repository.
