Since Chromium OS successfully migrated to Extension IME Framework from IBus,
we'd like to announce that ibus-mozc 1.11.1502.102 (r163) is in maintenance
mode.
What will happen?
As a short term effect, most of ChromiumOS specific code will be removed from
ibus-mozc soon. This should not affect existing ibus-mozc users on GNU/Linux.
Mozc team is no longer actively developing IBus-mozc nor catching up with new
releases of IBus. This may affect ibus-mozc users when future IBus make a
breaking change. Basically we will put issues that are specific to ibus-mozc in
low priority.
What can you do for IBus-mozc?
If you are interested in further development and/or maintenance work of
IBus-mozc, please feel free to contact us. We are wondering if we can
maintain/develop IBus-mozc in a more community-driven way.
Regards,
