Stocker is a simple stock portfolio app written in Python. Some of it's roadmap features include
- Historic Graphic for Stocks
- MongoEngine integration and utilization
- CandleStick Charts
- DataTables in Profile
- Portfolio Tracking
- Stock recommendations based on current stock
- BackTesting
- Alerts
You should run this in an environment that has MongoDB installed and running.
On MacOS, if you have brew installed, you can run the following:
$ brew install mongodb
$ brew services start mongo
git clone https://github.com/ryanhartje/stocker.git
From here, run app.py and you can interact with this on port 5001:
$ cd stocker;
$ python app.py
* Running on http://0.0.0.0:5001/ (Press CTRL+C to quit)
* Restarting with stat
Now visit http://localhost:5001/
Update should update your local mongoDB collection. It does not yet parse all of the data it should.
$ python update.py -d
0.1.1
Stocker uses a number of open source projects to work properly:
- Twitter Bootstrap - great UI boilerplate for modern web apps
- Flask - evented I/O for the backend
- jQuery - javascript library
- [MongoDB]
