Using minted (current version from repo) yields following problem:

C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Studium\project\dokumentation>set   & gt

Where Der Befehl "gt" ist entweder falsch geschrieben oder konnte nicht gefunden werden. is german and means The command "gt" is spelled wrong or couldn't been found.

Forgot to mention: This happens with luaLaTeX and XeTeX under windows, can't test pdflatex or Linux right now.

Additional tests:

• The mentioned problem happens with or without caching enabled
• The mentioned problem does not occur in draft mode

I can't reproduce the issue. Is there any chance that you didn't save the new minted.sty in raw view? It looks like you have HTML < and > where there should be < and > in the source.

The way I downloaded was open as raw in chrome for windows and then "save as…".

But I'll retry the download the linux way (wget) tomorrow.
