To hash or way to enumerate fields?

Could you add an example or description how to enumerate the fields which were found in a file?

At least there seems to be no common directory of tags which can exist, or does it?

Unfortunately there is no standard. The tool is really old too, so I’m sure that there are some much needed fixes. It tries it’s best to rubify the metadata it finds
