Have you thought of adding a feature that users can login (via GitHub, Google Accounts, Facebook, Twitter etc) to sync their favourites, RegEx created by them, and (maybe) even saving test cases that they use often. Auto save can be included with this feature easier

Definitely something we want to pursue at some point. I'm marking this as an enhancement and keeping it open so it stays on the list.

This would be a good feature to have, because currently it seems that:

  • you can't update a regex that you shared with the community a while ago
  • you can't delete a regex once you saved it

I like to build my regexes on the site and then reference the link in my source code. I think this is great, and also the url is short and cool. But the 2 issues mentioned above makes it hard to use this feature at its fullest, and it also pollutes the database with outdated regexes.

Working on this for v3.0. Targeting GitHub and Facebook as our primary accounts, and Twitter and Google as a bonus.
