Integrated leadscrew stepper?

This is such a well done design, I have no need for another printer but I'm seriously considering building this. Is there a reason you have gone for a stepper and coupler onto the leadscrew, and not an integrated leadscrew stepper?

I used what I already had. Integrated leads crew should be fine too.
