i don't think this really helped us. the numbers above are ones i got from running different tests in linked PR. maybe the repo doesn't do enough yet that the cost of spinning up extra agents is outweighed by the amount of work they then have to do?

recommend closing until thing get unwieldy enough that it's worth revisiting
