Introduction: This is a detailed analysis and visualisation of data relating to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland up to early January, 2022, in terms of the number of cases among the general population and among healthcare workers, the number of hospitalisations, the number of ICU admissions, and the number of deaths, using daily figures released by the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC), and also using statistical information taken from the Computerised Infectious Disease Reporting (CIDR) system, alongside an analysis of excess deaths using data from rip.ie.

Data Files: There are four datasets. COVID17.csv is the primary dataset containing the 17th release of COVID-related data; RIP0117.csv, RIP0217.csv, and RIP0317.csv contain the data from rip.ie.
