When starting HPX from HPX Desktop, error message "Error: connect ECONNREFUSED 127.0.0.1:7007" appears every ~seconds. Trying to log in doesn't do anything.

Hello, if you're using HPX v0.12 then make sure you're using the latest version of HPX Desktop

I have HPX 0.12 and HPXD 0.2.0 for Windows 10.

Can you explain step by step how you're connecting HPX Desktop to the server?

I'm just putting in the path to happypandax.exe and the other stuff into HPXD.

Previously, I accidentally checked 'make default startup method' with 'HPX Server Host' as 'http://localhost' instead of 'localhost' which caused its own issues, but I couldn't fix them because HPXD would automatically try the default method, giving no choice to change them beforehand. I had to search for the HPXD config files and change them there.

I wonder if this is being caused by a bad HPXD uninstall I did a while ago. Deleted the files instead of using the included uninstall utility, then tried to delete every mention of HPXD in regedit since the installer kept saying it detected an existing installation in the (no longer-existing) directory, and failing to install.

If you're using the first startup method then you should also be able to access HPX from a browser on localhost:7008, can you check if that's the case?
If it doesn't work, then that means the HPX process didn't start properly. You can check the logs for HPX to see if you can find out why.
If it works, then that's a bug in HPXD.
I guess for now you could use the second method.
