It's a very convenient and widely implemented extension. It should be possible to polyfill in just a few lines of code.

Now that we have a @hattip/polyfills package, the implementation is trivial but TypeScript won't play nice.

This is now supported almost everywhere. I now consider it a TypeScript issue. We can always use json from @hattip/response anyway. Closing.
