Likely an issue with me making the version number too low when specifying the dependency on the base package. Do you have the latest Haskell Platform?

Not sure what version I have on my WinXP VM. Will have to check.

Actually, the commit 1aeaac0 introduced an #if pragma that checks the version of the base library and only uses Control.Monad.ST.Unsafe if the version is recent enough. You may want to fiddle with the particular version number.

Also note that this is for version 0.2.0.4 of the vault package.

Bumped version dependency on base, this should no longer happen.
