24.03 breaks .ignore behaviour

For helix 23.10 I wrote this .ignore in root directory of huge monolithic project:

!backend
!backend/go/
!backend/go/**/*

!library/
!library/go/
!library/go/**/*

**/test-results/*
*.a

This config removes all test-results directories, generated by our build system, and their children from helix file picker.

After upgrading to 24.03 I am seeing all of them and cannot find a way to restore previous behaviour. DId anyone faced the same problem and maybe found a way to fix it?
