I cannot make Canviz work on IE (9 or 10) and Chrome #72

I downloaded Canviz and can't seem to make it work on Internet Explorer 9 or 
Chrome. Even the hello world example does not work on IE or Chrome. It works 
fine on FireFox. 

I even tried to un-comment the following line in new.index.in
-- <script type="text/javascript" src="../../excanvas/excanvas.js"></script>

I am sure I am missing some trick here. Please help. thanks
