hi,
it looks like DirectoryIndex doesn't work for index.html files. Documentation says html files are included (https://devcenter.heroku.com/articles/custom-php-settings#apache-defaults)
index.php works but index.html doesnt.

True. Fixed now, switched away from ProxyPassMatch for handling PHP request. Thanks for the report!
