It would be nice, if you could answer this question:

How to start CopyQ allways automaticall on windows?

Maybe it would be good new candidate for the FAQ?

If you go to Preferences and click "Autostart" and then restart your computer, does that work? That's works here (on Ubuntu).

I could not find "Autostart" in the preferences of CopyQ on windows.

@guettli good to know. I'm not sure if the following comment is still relevant (it's a few years old), but it's the only thing I could find in a quick search: #56 (comment)

I found a solution: Add it to "All Programs / Autostart". This works for windows7 via remote-desktop.

As with @nmat, for me on Win10 it this was done on install. To verify look in Start >> Startup Apps

I (the creator of this issue) used a very dated windows version. It seems that current versions don't have this issue. I will close this. Thank you all for providing feedback.

Add apps to run automatically at startup in Windows 10

To add an app to Startup:

Select the Start Windows logo Start button button and scroll to find the app you want to run at startup.
Right-click the app, select More, and then select Open file location. This opens the location where the shortcut to the app is saved. If there isn’t an option for Open file location, it means the app can’t run at startup.
With the file location open, press the Windows logo key Windows logo Start button + R, type shell:startup, then select OK. This opens the Startup folder.
Copy and paste the shortcut to the app from the file location to the Startup folder.
