OpenUV: Unit of Measurement for 'Current UV Index'

The problem

The sensor 'Current UV Index' uses 'UV Index' as unit of measurement. the UV index of e.g. my weather integrations is provided just as a number.

Is there a chance to avoid/remove it except creating a template sensor which removes the unit of measurement?
