nothing much in the logs, though not using debug level but error, which should have been raised also?

Is there a way to accurately reproduce this?
I do have the same issue but it seems very sporadic.
Sometimes I get it 2-3 times a day and then it works for 3 days straight without issues.

My fairly new Q80T needs reconfiguration frequently but at least now works with this integration! My older 7100 (UN46F7100) also works, and doesn't need constant reconfiguration, but for whatever reason lately shows "unavailable" when its off. Once I turn it on, it shows up and i can stream things to it.

so after some serious reconfiguring, and trying to get rid of 2! discovered Samsung smart tv's (the same device obviously...) I was able to re-install it, and yes, a media_player is created, and it is nicely coupled with the device_tracker, made by Nmap.

However, I still need to confirm it for use by HA, on the TV toplight corner popup, every time I turnoff the TV.

We can try to check if something appears in debug logs, add the following to configuration.yaml , restart HA, and post the logs near the error:

logger:
  default: warning
  logs:
    homeassistant.components.samsungtv: debug
    samsungtvws: debug
    samsungctl: debug

Note: logs may be hard to read in GitHub, it is better to use a service such as https://pastebin.com/ for uploading the log.

this was during startup and a bit after, where I also turned on the TV, and Off/On again.

Only see a media_player issue Platform samsungtv does not generate unique IDs., all the rest I cant say if its expected or not?

on 2021.7.0b3 now

I need full log since the boot of HA.
If you can reboot, and post after restart is completed; so to have a clean and actual log.

btw the above was a fresh restart, as a matter of fact, restart was still going on as you can see in the line 8. I copied from the first occurrence of anything Samsung

btw, now that Ive been using the 2021.7 some more, I see the popup occur on each power-on of the tv, and sometimes it goes away by itself.
After that, most of the time (not always) it comes back, and I need to confirm with the remote.

I should mention that the original issue of the configuration is no longer there. It has changed into an "always need to confirm on the tv" issue.
You want me to close this and re-write another issue? or maybe change the title?

alas, its back again too:

so, with all iterations, we have not solved it one bit....
have to confirm upon each tv power-on, and now this is back.

for reference here, this is was I did:

I deleted Home assistant from the Samsung settings, deleted the Samsung integration, restarted HA to have it clear the registry, and start all over.

As before, the tv was recognized alright, and after having confirmed it, as usual by now, set the options mentioned in Henrik’s mail above. (Network > Expert settings > Mobile Device Manager > Access Notification: First time only )

After that, turning/off/on a couple of times went fine, no confirmation popup anymore…

seems both issues are solved after above procedure. Haven't seen anything in 3 days now, so closing.
