Can Lilith be started using webstart ?

No.
Lilith requires to either open ServerSockets or files and would thus mean that I needed a properly signed security certificate. That's just too much hassle.

yeah no worries, it just startled me completely and was wondering where all of a sudden this naked woman picture came from since all i did was launch a log viewer :)

Yeah, I know. You are not the first to comment it. It is just a public domain piece of art that I could use therefore use legally. I'm not much of an artist myself as should be apparent if you take a look at http://lilithapp.com ;)
I'd like to keep the Lilith theme, even with less "obscene" artwork.

Sorry to continue in this closed thread, but is it possible to add a note to the docs which maven artifact one needs to add in pom.xml to be able to use the lilith socket appenders. Is it just the root lilith one ? I'ld like to not pull in all of lilith's artifacts just to configure an appender, as there are quite a few.

You need de.huxhorn.lilith:de.huxhorn.lilith.logback.appender.multiplex-classic for the multiplex appender or simply logback-classic for the normal logback appender. This is mentioned in https://github.com/huxi/lilith/blob/master/README.md and the help of the app itself.
