Should have been done long ago, in keeping with the /usr/bin/iiab-support command.
So non-ambiguous state is meaningfully stored in 1 single place, insofar as possible that being in /etc/iiab/local_vars.yml (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_source_of_truth).
