A couple of members of the waterrower community on facebook suggested that we create a raspberry pi image to help folks deploy this applicaiton with less work on the command line.

just as an fyi - I started prototyping this last night and made some progress. Your links above were super helpful.
I decided to automate most of this using vagrant and ansible. I will likely commit something (which may still be incomplete) to my fork tonight so that interested parties can take a look.
