What was the intention of having this flag? How is it done?
OBIS used to have lots of record from north sea which has >1000m which doesn’t makes sense because depth was not in the right unit. This check is to flag potential records which have depth in the wrong unit.
Offset is used - haven’t reviewed the data and offset used
Variation of depth is large at continental slope as the comparison is based on average value of GEBCO grid

What was the intention of having this flag? How is it done?
Users are unclear about the flag -> documentation needs to be done at OBIS manual. Suggested to do a webinar about QC for OBIS nodes.
