@uluca Does Node.js run on windows 2003?

We just dropped support for Windows XP (see #374 (comment)) due to no willing maintainers, so I doubt this will be added as a build target.

Yes, node.js is.

It`s fine to drop support for old flatforms anyway...

very large percentage of our website downloads come from China with "NT 5.1" user-agent strings, either lots of bot activity or a lot of people using XP, or some combination of the above, we may want to put a little bit of effort in to at least see what the problems might be just in case the fixes are simple

It'd be great if we could have a contributor from China who is able to fix Windows XP and CJK support related issues.

@rvagg for the website purposes, can we have access to these metrics?

@Fishrock123 yes I've been thinking about that but at the moment it's really rough grep, awk, sed, and a bit of sort and uniq, I've been thinking of making acron job to dump a summary somewhere that the website could pick up and report.

btw, on the original issue, the v1.0.3 release in https://iojs.org/dist/latest/ should address Windows XP / 2003 compatibility, please report back if there are still problems

@JacksonTian had already add CJK support on node inside alibaba.

I'd like to do any CJK supports. Feel free to mention me, I and my colleagues will try our best to support it.
