Jackett is used for the search feature, after installing and configuring it you will be able to search all of your favorite torrent sites at once in Powder Web.

Installing Jackett

To install Jackett on your system, follow one of these guides:

Configuring Jackett

1. Open Jackett Settings

After installing Jackett, you now need to configure it. So open any browser and go to the link http://localhost:9117 to open the Jackett Settings Page

2. Add Indexers

Click "+ Add indexer", now choose a torrent site from the list and click the "+" button on the right of it. If the "+" button isn't available, then that is a torrent site that requires configuration before it can be added or it was already added. With this same method you can add as many indexers as you wish.

Although this is not a personal recommendation, some community members have stated that they've had a good experience using these indexers: 1337x, EZTV, RARBG, The Pirate Bay, Torrentz2, YTS

3. Configure in Powder Web

In the browser, on the Jackett page, notice where it writes "API KEY:" in the top right of the page, opposite of the Jackett logo and name. Double click the input space with the cryptic text to select it, then right click it and select "Copy". It is important to copy it from the right click menu as otherwise I've seen it not copy the text to the clipboard.

Now that we copied the api key, open Powder Web, click the settings button (cog icon) in the top right of the app. Now scroll to the bottom of the settings page where you will see a button named "Set Jackett API Key", click it then paste the API Key and press "Set Value"

4. Start Searching

That's it! Jackett should be fully set up and ready to go, you can now use the search button (upper right corner in Powder Web) to search for torrents on all your favorite sites at once!
