  • Operating System: Fedora 38
  • Desktop Environment: XMonad
  • Terminal Emulator: Kitty
  • Shell: Zsh
  • Custom desktop opener (if applicable): default ( xdg-open )
  • Program options used: nnn -d -P p
  • Configuration options set: NNN_PLUG='p:preview-tui'
  • Plugins are installed
  • Issue exists on nnn master

Exact steps to reproduce the issue

On fresh Fedora 38 Install ( Server Edition ) with newest packages, open nnn and preview any file with not a lot to preview. ( If too many files are in it, it does start at the top, because it fills the screen anyways.

In preview-tui mode the contents of the folder should start to display the contents from the top, not at the bottom. This bug appeared only after a system wide sudo dnf upgrade a few months ago. Some update of a dependency seem to have created this issue. I have attached a picture.

Thank you for this amazing file manager. I cannot imagine going back to anything else.

I think your issue is fixed in master #1672
Try to upgrade your preview-tui plugin and see if you can still reproduce.

@N-R-K Thank you - when checking with the master i just used the fresh binary. Still used my old plugin folder, because I had custom ones in it.

Fixed now.
