The CanvasTools Notification API allows you to display notifications to the user through CanvasTools. Instead of using the Chrome Notification API and asking for notification permissions, you can use the CanvasTools Notification API. Keep in mind users of CanvasTools have the option to disable these notifications by clicking "Disable external notifications".
