Add support for \href

would it be possible to add support for links inside latex formulas?
For example:

\sum_{i=0}^{\infty} \href{http://example.com}{a_i} x^i

Probably not. We use the texmath library for TeX conversions, and its underlying equation model does not currently include something for links. It's unclear that this would be supported in formats like MathML and eqn anyway. If you'd like you can open a request for this in jgm/texmath, but the probability that it will ever happen is low.
