License issue

Hi,
I would like to check your code if it is suitable for my application.
If it is and I have changes to make I would push them here.
But before I can consider your lib, I need a clear statement about the license
you are sharing the code. E. G. I see that I would have to port it to Qt5

It would be nice if you would select a LGPL license or comparable in github.

+1 For a clear statement about the license of this software. My preference would be: Apache, BSD, MIT, MPL, LGPLv2, LGPLv3 (in that order).
