meet does not use Mac address book

Description:

MacOS addressbook (contacts) is not searched despite settings (jitsi mac, current version, just installed). According to other posts here, this might have worked 12 years ago … so what might be the cause?

Steps to reproduce:

1. open settings
2. select "advanced" ("Erweitert")
3. in "Externe Kontakte" (External Contacts) make sure Mac OS addressbook search is ACTIVE#
4. close settings
5. enter contact name in search field

Expected behavior:

macOS addressbook entry is shown in result list

Actual behavior:

"no matching contacts found"
