Customize the phone and camera app

By default, the phone and camera apps are displayed at the bottom of the left and right of the screen. I would love to be able to customize these as I almost never use any one of them... 😅

Would it be something achievable?

Just to be clear, when you say "be able to customize these" do you want to be able to prevent them from being displayed at all or do you want to be able to customize which phone and camera apps are opened by the icons? Ultimately it would be nice to support both, but I am just trying to gauge priority of features here.

Oh you're right, my ticket description wasn't very accurate. Sorry about that. I was more thinking about being able to replace these with another application. For instance, instead of the camera I would prefer to have my web browser here. Is it clearer? :)

Another related point of configuration would be to give more flexibility about what apps are launched by tapping on the Clock/Date. #221

Hey @jkuester I mostly use my device without any cellular services as it's my backup phone which I use for reading so would it be possible to change the quick buttons to app of our choice let me know if it's possible.

Same here, customization of shortcut buttons, not just on/off, would be great.
In terms of different types of apps, as well as different apps within the group (e.g. if I want to use Element for calls, not real phone. And maybe custom icons too, I really like how Arcticons look like with their slim lines.

Another idea is to add battery/reception level as icons there, but also ability to attach custom action (e.g. Open camera when bottom right corner is clicked, but have there battery level "icon", since it's my phone I know that bottom right corner is camera, so camera icon there is useless).
