There should be no fundamental-mode snippet (or not under really common names) #513
Comments
I think that's great maybe but it's something to present at http://github.com/andreacrotti/yasnippet-snippets. That's where the snippets are managed. |
Andrea Crotti has removed the "fundamental" snippets. See AndreaCrotti/yasnippet-snippets#52. Can you insert the update, so that a new ELPA package is ready? |
The fundamental snippets are still in the latest version of YASnippet (yasnippet-20140909.1250). Could you apply Andrea's change, please? Thanks in advance! |
Done. @fniessen please be patient and understand that part of the reason that yasnippet branched off its snippets to a separate repo is to lighten the burden on the developers. We'll update the submodule once in a while, but if you must have urgency and stay on the bleeding edge, why don't you setup yasnippet from its git source? Theres a recipe here https://github.com/capitaomorte/yasnippet#install-the-most-recent-version |

Though, when typing text in an email or a report, I obviously type many times things such as "mode" followed by SPC, or "!" followed by SPC. Now, it always break my typing flow, because it has been expanded into a snippet which I did not intend.
The problem is that:
