I just found that "[ ]" and "[x]" aren't supported.
e.g.

 - [ ] To-do
 - [x] Done

preview:

  • To-do
  • Done

This is a comments & issues-only feature of GitHub. Run grip with the --gfm argument to see them.

Do you think the docs could make more clear in any way? I'm not quite sure how to word it yet.

Sorry for my impatience. I was so excited to find a command to export to HTML instead of server preview link, and ignored the next line in the docs, which indicates Github flavored markdown.

It's all good :-)

Update

This is a bug, but not with Grip. You should be able to use grip without --gfm to render task lists. GitHub introduced them to repo READMEs back in April, but the API doesn't seem to respect this.

I'll make a note of known issues in the README. Once GitHub updates their API, you'll be able to render task lists in both normal and --gfm modes.

Thanks again for the issues, @vejuhust.
