It would be really cool if there was an option to display errors in the style of xcode / chrome dev tools:

Looked into this... while a better tooltip can be done and would be nice... something like this that is fixed below a line would not be a good idea. atom is very smart with how/what it displays for some really great performance (at least for being an HTML based UI). Doing something like this would mean having to re-do a bunch of the core logic. While not imposable... its just not worth it for JS hinting :)
