Goodtime style clear and editable sessions #3094
Comments
Thank you very much for opening up this issue! I am currently a bit overwhelmed by the many requests that arrive each week, so please forgive me, if I fail to respond personally. I am still very likely to at least skim read your request and I'll probably try to fix all (real) bugs if possible and I will likely review every single PR being made (please, give me a heads up if you intent to do so) and I will try to work on popular requests (please upvote via thumbs up on the original issue) whenever possible, but trying to respond to every single issue over the last years has been kind of draining and I need to adjust my approach for this project to remain fun for me and to make any progress with actually coding new stuff. Thanks for your understanding! |
I meant editing individual Pomodoro sessions. In my example, I would be able to work around it (until you fix it) by removing only the hours-long session so that the total time is much closer to reality. Allowing editing the whole work time in the day doesn't help much because I don't know exactly when I left the computer forgetting to finalize the work day in the app. |
I'm still not sure if I fully understand your request. The screenshot shows the details of a single task, not a full day. You would just need to edit a single task. |
This issue has not received any updates in 90 days. Please comment, if this still relevant! |
Not stale and hopefully we'll see it soon |
Problem Statement
I sometimes need to correct a session time. For example, I went to do something without pausing the app, so I need to set the last finished Pomodoro session to 20 minutes thus subtracting 5 minutes from the total task work time. Or maybe I need to remove the factitious few hours from the work time. I would look for the work time segment measured in hours,
❔ Possible Solution
Goodtime does this well. See the last screenshot.
Quick history seems to allow editing the total work time for the day, so I can't remove the outlier session.
