I don't have a Recovair but have some knowledge of the Vaillant stuff in general. Since you say that the Recovair is connected to the VR70, I'm guessing you have a VR32 bus coupler installed as a daughter board in the Recovair? (Otherwise I don't think it can co-exist with a boiler) I believe there are latency issues with the VR32 - you can search for more info on the discussion forum so it is possible the device isn't seen. You can set the latency parameter on startup, I.e --latency=100000 I'd go back to @Koky05 suggestion that you run So then your problem is going to be that there won't be a Recovair configuration file that can be identified by the address prefix - the only 'official' Recovair config file is 08.recov.csv I believe and the boiler has already 'stolen' that slave address. (VR32s are not product specific - so you have one for the Recovair, but they can also be used by a second boiler in a cascade configuration to allow that to have an address other than 08 for example so that's why there won't be config files by that address that can help.) So this means you need to clone the config files locally, adjust the configpath, and then start playing around - probably with renaming the 08.recov.csv file so that the auto scan identifies it by the VR32 bus coupler's address. Before doing that, I'd be inclined to search this forum and the config files forum at https://github.com/john30/ebusd-configuration/issues for 'Recovair and VR32' since you aren't the first person with this setup! so I would say 38 is a candidate. Maybe restart the daemon with the latency parameter - see this post: You are better off trying to shell into the ebusd instance than trying to diagnose this through what MQTT topics are created. I didn't fully understand your comment about Unraid and VM, but if you basically have HA running in a VM, then the add ons will be containers. So install the terminal add-on and then (When you are in the world of customising your files, it's so much easier to test reads and writes this way!) |

OK - so your Recovair is sitting behind a VR32 bus adapter at slave address 38 (and address 33 when/if it acts as a bus master.) You have two potential routes now - try to use the entries OPModeCooling and OPModeVentilation in 15.700, because they are referenced in this post specifically about Recovair - This pull request john30/ebusd-configuration#191 is mentioned in this pull request john30/ebusd-configuration#102 So maybe make changes on the controller manually for different operational states/regulation of the Recovair that you are interested in and read the values and then try writing the values (first using ebusctl write). Or follow the path that the second pull request was addressing - which was to create a config file for a Recovair directly. This is 08.recov.csv file. You'll need then to clone the configuration files locally, and then try renaming 08.recov.csv Again, my caveat would be that I haven't needed to rename files in this manner - I've only needed to edit some entries on files that loaded so my advice is only based on what I've read in passing on these forums- there are many people much more expert than I am on these matters - but the forums have a wealth of past experiences definitely worth searching before you dive in. Be aware, you may find the controller very regularly publishes the settings for the Recovair and so may reset any changes you make through ebusd directly to the Recovair- you can search the forums here for advice - I haven't written any values this way myself. |

Nice! My bad - I should have read the auto config naming convention a bit more thoroughly! In theory, if a line in the config file starts with 'r;w' or 'w' then it's writable. That means you could try using and read it back. (if it's read-capable of course) Take note of my comment that you'll essentially be potentially 'fighting' with your controller for values it thinks should be sent to the Recovair periodically! You can use further ebusctl commands to grab specific traffic on the bus you are interested in - notably messages that start 1038.... |

yeah - OK outside my knowledge base!! But I suspect a significant element of ebusd users are actually German speakers so hopefully you can get some specific help - suggest you start a new topic for it? Hello everyone,
I am now using the V5 adapter on a Vaillant EcoTecPlus in conjunction with a Vaillant Recovair 260/4 ventilation system and a Vaillant VIH R120 water heater.
Unfortunately, MQTT only recognizes the boiler and the water heater.
I do not receive any data from the RecoVair.
The RecoVair and the eBusd are connected together to the eBus in the VR70.
How do I get this into Home Assistant too?
