HoWto select wanted/unwanted Entities in HA?

Hi,

after many years of using Domoticz I am currently migrating to HA. MQTT Discovery worked right out of the box and automatically created 102 Entities. My HA newbie question now is: How do I elegantly select the maybe only 8 Entities I really want to be created and updated? Are those supposed to be defined in the filtering section of mqtt-hassio.cfg?
