Google now force you to add a credit card on to your account before you can use their API. I do not like this from Google where you need to add a credit card on to use a free tier.

Perhaps look at MapBox or Bing as an alternative.

Hi Jon,

We do plan to implement mapbox & OpenStreetMap in the future. Yes, relying on Giants isn't necessarily a good idea.

A good number of people however still prefer google and hence it's the first one we did.

I think Google Maps will always thrive because of the monopoly they have.

Maybe you also consider Yandex maps?
This will give more loyalty from users from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
