A small library for extracting pixel dimensions for images hosted on web servers. Only loads whatever portion is necessary to determine the dimensions.
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'dimscan'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install dimscan
scanner = Dimscan::JPEGScanner.new('https://example.com/image.jpg')
scanner.scan_dimensions
# => { width: 32, height: 32 }
At the moment only JPEG and PNG are supported.
