_variables.scss $body-font-family ignored

Are the font settings in the _sass/support/_variables.scss file being ignored?

Inspecting the page after generation shows that the fonts being loaded are coming from just-the-docs-default.css regardless of what is set in the _variables.scss file.

A search indicates that the font variables set in _variables.scss don't even make it to the generated site at all.

I've deleted _site and that doesn't change anything.

Can anyone else confirm this before I invest more time?

Hey @rayraspberry, sorry for the late response - have been juggling a ton of different work in my personal life.

Hm, I'm not sure what you mean here; the chain is slightly complicated, but I do think things are being put into the generated site.

For $body-font-family, it is used in base.css (line 20), which the generates just-the-docs-default.css:

just-the-docs/_sass/base.scss

font-family: $body-font-family;

Is it possible that you're overriding this variable later in your custom CSS/SCSS stack?

I also don't see this behaviour on other variables; for example, take $font-size-4:

• this is defined in _varaibles.scss
• no element directly uses the variable; however, the mixin fs-4 uses it (_typography.scss), along with fs-3
• and, fs-4 is used in various places, including
